Student team member feature: Meet Kue! πβ
βRaised in a Thai refugee camp, Kue's family fled Myanmar's turmoil. Her father was arrested when she was eight months old, never returning. πβ
βThey arrived in Canada in 2007, facing language barriers and cultural adjustments. After graduating from Queen Elizabeth Secondary School in 2012, Kue worked part-time at Starbucks while studying at Douglas College. βπβ
βIn 2018, she earned a social service work diploma and began supporting individuals with mental health challenges and older adults. Four years ago, she moved to Chilliwack to pursue a bachelor's in social work at the University of the Fraser Valley. πβ
βKue is grateful to contribute to Ruth & Naomi's Mission, aligning with its mission and vision. Her passion for helping others stems from her own experiences, driving her to make a difference in the community. π§‘β

Ana's journey began at a rehabilitation center in Farmington, BC, where she witnessed firsthand the struggles of individuals battling addictions and traumas. This experience ignited her passion for helping others, particularly women. πβ
β"I enjoy working with all groups, but empowering women holds a special place in my heart," Ana shares.β
Ana recently graduated from the Mental Health and Addiction Care Worker program, further equipping herself to make a meaningful difference in her community. πβ

βEngaged with her community on various fronts, Rachel keenly observes the challenges faced in lives, community, and the world at large. πβ

Rachel pursued the Mental Health and Addictions Care Worker course at Sprott Shaw College in Chilliwack, a journey that enriched her both personally and professionally. She eagerly anticipates applying her acquired skills, knowledge, and empathy in her new career path, viewing it as a calling from God. πβ¨β
Graduating with honors, Rachel is now equipped to serve others as a compassionate professional and community advocate, aiming to offer support and inspiration to many. π
