Staff feature: Lorne
π Meet Lorne, our Day Shift Supervisor at the RAN Community Outreach Centre! πβ
βLorne has been with Ruth & Naomi's Mission since November 2022, and has recently been promoted to the Day Shift Supervisor role. His day starts by ensuring his team is prepared and supported throughout their shift, from assigning tasks to providing a listening ear. Lorne also manages a portion of our supply inventory and oversees the Shelter Mat Programβs laundry needs. As a member of the Health and Safety Committee, he ensures safety protocols are followed, making each day a bit different from the last.β
When asked what he loves most about his job, Lorneβs answer is simple: the people. He values building relationships with both staff and clients, aiming to make everyone feel cared for and loved.β
βOutside of work, Lorne enjoys worshipping through music at his church, cycling, golfing, curling, and traveling with his wife. Family time is also a priority, and he loves hosting dinners and creating memories with loved ones. π‘οΈππ΄ββοΈβ
Lorne will be riding 20KM this September for Ruth & Naomi's at our Ride for RAN, and is looking for more riders to join him! Be sure to sign up, if you'd like to do so: ranmission.ca/eventsβ
