🌟 Participant Feature: Meet Kathy πŸŒŸβ€‹

Kathy's journey started in Victoria with a hip replacement in 2019. After moving in with her kids, it became too much, and she ended up on the streets. Despite close calls, God was looking out for her. πŸ™ She found a shelter for six months before moving to Chilliwack in 2020 to be closer to a friend, who introduced her to Ruth and Naomi’s.

Kathy lived at Pathways for nine months, becoming a vital part of our community, always with a broom and dustpan, keeping the streets clean. 🧹 After Pathways, she moved to Interchange Supportive Housing, receiving much-needed support and healthcare.

Kathy is grateful for the support from Ruth and Naomi’s, emphasizing, β€œThe support here is something I never got in Victoria.” She encourages others to β€œnever give up, keep going, and stay positive.” πŸŒˆβ€‹

Now a grandmother, Kathy visits her family in Victoria often. She calls Interchange her home and continues to keep it looking nice. β€œIt’s our home, and we need to keep it looking nice.” 🏑✨
